Microsoft User Research

Category: professional project

I was involved in a user research project that was initiated by Microsoft, in collaboration with the University of Washington Information School. The results were then presented to executives.

The team was tasked with researching a specific problem in the context of University students and how Microsoft products might better address them. We did the project based on a full product planning cycle.

The team conducted the research through various qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of these were periodically reported every week as the project progresses. After the research process is completed, the team synthetized the data that was available and created potential features concepts for the Microsoft products.

We then presented these ideas to the project lead, where the team was selected as one of three top teams to be given the opportunity to present them to the VPs and managers of the corresponding Microsoft product.
